Joyce Ride stands against injustice a FOLA Retrospective (Video)

Mother of two very accomplished daughters, an astronaut and a Presbyterian minister, Joyce Ride was an Encino housewife before she became a board member for Friends Outside in Los Angeles County and started visiting female inmates.  A self-described person who “can’t stand injustice,” Mrs. Ride (Joyce) spent a significant amount of time and money to gain the release of an imprisoned woman, Gloria Killian, because she believed in her claims of innocence.  Meet this fascinating and unique woman who inspires us to be true to our beliefs.
